The Battle Raged

The battle raged,
The bullets flew,
The blood all mingled with the dew.

Our loved ones died,
Their lives were lost,
And we were left to count the cost.

Our hearts were sad,
Our bodies wracked,
But we had made a solumn pact.

The battle raged,
The bullets flew,
And out of chaos, democracy grew.
